About the Pavilion

A guest reading by the pool

The Pavilion Hotel is located in the heart of the historical centre of Phnom Penh, just a few steps from the Royal Palace, facing Wat Botum, the Royal Pagoda. It boasts unique heritage villas, a swimming pool in the sun, one in the shade, and four private plunge-pools - all setup in a lush compound protected by high walls preserving its intimacy.

The hotel has two poolside bar-restaurants, a spa, a gym, a souvenir shop, free unique bamboo bicycles, 24-hour reception, free wi-fi. All rooms have air-conditioning, cable TV, safety box, telephone, hair dryer, sound system, minibar, tea & coffee, etc.

The Reception Villa was built by Queen Kossamak, King Sihanouk's mother, in the mid-twenties. Living here brought her closer to the Royal Pagoda, where she often liked to pray. The architecture is an original combination of Khmer and French colonial styles.

The New House is an added neighbouring property, known by the 1960's Phnom-Penhers as the Royal Palace's veterinarian's Residence. All of the downstairs rooms having each their own private pools.

The New Villa, the former residence of a senator, is located at the back of the property, behind the reception, on a very calm closed street. Its rooms are large and airy.

The Sun-Pool Villa is our latest addition. It is a quiet retreat at the back of the hotel, with its own pool with lots of sun, a bar and larger rooms, away from the street.
